Alternatives of New Fine Arts - West Dallas video store with tons of gay adult video rentals and catchy dance music to listen to while you shop. Open from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m., seven days a week. Located at 1720 West Mockingbird Lane #B, a few blocks east of I-35, on the back side of the New Fine Arts. Minimum age for entry: 18.

Dallas Voice - The Voice offers gay-related news stories covering the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, as well as state and national gay issues. Free at gay-themed stores, gay-friendly businesses, and selected bookstores. Website updated daily.

J.R.'s Bar & Grill - Popular bar with balcony that's open-air when it's nice outside and enclosed when it's not. Also has shows or special events some nights. At 3923 Cedar Springs Road; no cover charge. Open Sunday-Thursday from 11 a.m. to midnight.; Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. Minimum age for entry: 21. Smoking prohibited inside, but allowed on outside patio.
Boot and cowboy hat
The Round-Up Saloon - Tho' I'm not a big Country & Western fan, this is a great place to hang out and relax or two-step if you know how, although it can be very crowded. Less attitude here. Dance lessons on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday nights. No cover charge; mostly late 20s & up. Drinks are weak and pricey. At 3912 Cedar Springs Road. Open Monday-Friday from 3 p.m. to 2 a.m.; Saturday-Sunday from noon to 2 a.m. Minimum age for entry: 21. Picked as Best LGBT Bar by the Dallas Voice in 2022 and 2023 and Best Gay Bar in 2022 by Dallas Observer readers. Smoking prohibited inside, but allowed on outside patio.

Station 4 (S4) - Large club with room for dancing, drag shows, and more! Cover charge, but may be waived some nights during particular times. Open Thursday-Sunday from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. (Alcohol service available until 2 a.m.) Located at 3911 Cedar Springs Road. Minimum age for entry: 18, except 21 on Saturday. Smoking prohibited inside, but allowed on outside patio.

Sue Ellen's - Lesbian club with dance floor, indoor lounge for live music, and upstairs/downstairs outside patio area for chatting. Cover charge, but may be waived some nights during particular times. At 3014 Throckmorton Street (one block off Cedar Springs Road). Open Wednesday-Friday from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m.; Saturday and Sunday from 3 p.m. to 2 a.m. Minimum age for entry: 21. Smoking prohibited inside, but allowed on outside patios.

The Tin Room - Tons of male dancers here, with great music, and an area for "private shows". At 2514 Hudnall Street (near Maple Avenue); no cover charge. Open Monday-Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 a.m.; Sunday from noon to 2 a.m. But, drinks are weak and pricey, and the Men's bathroom desperately needs cleaning. Minimum age for entry: 21. Smoking prohibited inside, but allowed on outside patio.
Hot guy TMC - Bar with hot male dancers, formerly known as Throckmorton Mining Company. At 3903 Cedar Springs Road; no cover charge. Open 7 days a week from 2 p.m. to 2 a.m. Picked as Best Patio by the Dallas Voice in 2023. Smoking prohibited inside, but allowed on outside patio.

Turtle Creek Chorale - Terrific 200+ male gay chorale that performs at the Moody Performance Hall and the Meyerson Symphony Center. Breathtaking, clever, and touching performances. Buy tickets on the site, check out future performance dates and times, and hear music samples.
